ISMA'08 is the fifth of a series of symposia focusing on theoretical and practical aspects of
Mechatronics. The symposium covers the synergetic integration of mechanical engineering with
electronics, intelligent control, and design and manufacturing of industrial products and processes.
Topics of interest include, but not limited to:
| Process control systems |
MEMS and nanotechnologies |
| Intelligent manufacturing technologies |
Modeling and simulation |
| Remote monitoring and control |
Distributed systems |
| Industrial automation and embedded systems |
Entrepreneurship in Mechatronics |
| Robotics and autonomous systems |
Mechatronics education |
| Navigation and Mapping |
Medical applications |
| Sensor design and sensor fusion |
Smart farming |
| Mobile actuator sensor networks |
GPS/INS integration |
| Signal processing and system identification for mechatronics |
|
Prospective participants of ISMA'08 are invited to submit their full papers using our TrackChair online submission system at:
http://isma08.trackchair.com
The authors should follow the guidelines posted in the symposium website:
http://isma08.isma-conf.org/submission.html
Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the proceedings of the ISMA’08 conference. Selected papers will be coordinated into a unified theme as a special issue in the Journal of the Franklin Institute (www.fi.edu/tfi/publications/journal.html).
The organizing committee welcomes proposals for special sessions and tutorials to be held in conjunction with ISMA’08. Please send your proposals by email to: isma08@aus.edu.
Furthermore, a group of ISMA08 papers will be published in the ASME/IEEE Transaction on Mechatronics in the October 2008 issue.
